Howe Hill Flowers was officially launched in May 2019, and we began undertaking weddings in 2020.

Our team is led by Flicky Howe, and she has 23 years experience in wedding and event floristry.

During the Irish season, late March to late September, we grow a lot of our own flowers, which play a leading role in our designs.

As we do a lot of weddings and events, and because each one is working to specific colour palettes, we cannot grow enough ourselves to solely provide enough volume of flowers for all our bookings.

We supplement with produce from other local flower growers and directly from the Dutch flower market.

We are very careful about the product that we buy from the Dutch market, always prefering Fairtrade certified and European grown. We NEVER buy flowers and foliage from Israel or countries involved in aggressive occupation and conflict.

We cover weddings throughout County Cork, we mostly work with weddings in West Cork, Cork City and East Cork areas.

We are willing to travel to neighbouring counties Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford. We will also consider some venues in Co.Kilkenny. A minimum spend of €4000+ applies for all counties outside Co.Cork.

The general "rule" for wedding flowers is 10% to 20%+ of your overall wedding budget. For an event a similar budgeting strategy can be applied. It really does depend on how much flowers you want to see featured in your day, and afterwards, in your photographs.

We find these budgets work for full service weddings at various venues;

Civil ceremony at hotel venue €2500 to €5000+ (a typical or average spend we see is around €3000 to €4000, for weddings to include any type of arch or large floral installation you would be looking at the €3500+ mark)

Church ceremony & hotel reception €2500 to €8000+ (a typical or average spend we see is around €3500, for any type of arch or large floral installation you would be looking at around the €3500+ mark)

Private house & marquee €4000 to €12000+ (a typical or average spend we see is around €6000 to €10000)

For smaller wedding flower orders we encourage you to consider collecting your flower order from our studio and looking after all logistical aspects of transport and installation yourself. A typical bridal party plus ceremony arrangement and a few basic extras might cost anything between €600 and €1500.

It is something we will consider but, there are a few things to note;

1. This is a holiday period, as in public holiday. In accordance with the WPRC you will be paying us a premium working rate durng this week. At a minimum, our “on the day” service charge will be double time.

2. The Dutch Market is closed. In 2025 the last delivery from Holland before Christmas arrives to our studio December 23rd. There are no further deliveries arriving until December 28th, and the inventory is scarce. We always try to preorder your flowers from our suppliers for this period by the end of November to guarantee we get what you want and at a fixed price, if we wait to order later/closer the date the price can be affected by the market and may increase.

3. We do have a cold room in our studio and we can store flowers for a longer time than most others, so if your wedding is December 27th or 28th we would receive your flowers to our studio on December 23rd and put them in our cold room. A wedding on the 27th we would most likely start your arrangements on Christmas Day, or for 28th on St.Stephens Day. Please see point #1

4. Small orders are not feasible for us at this time. We will be ordering all the flowers in from Holland and our suppliers have a minimum order. Our minimum order for flowers during the week from December 23rd through January 1st is €3000+

5. The weather is entireley unpredictable and travel may be affected. For this reason we will only service weddings within 30km driving distance of our studio during this time.

6. If you are getting married anytime during the last two weeks of December book a florist well in advance. You will find many florists will not take on wedding work at this time.

If a consultation or meeting is required we arrange a time and date with you, usually in the off peak season - November, December & February.

We have a policy of exclusivity, this means that by booking us you agree that we will be the only supplier of flowers for your big day.

This policy is to ensure that you will have a cohesive look throughout your designs, and also to protect our business reputation.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of enquiries we receive, we cannot provisionally hold or reserve dates. To reserve your date on our calendar we require a booking commitment.

A non refundable deposit of €200 is required to secure your date on our calendar, payable by bank transfer, Revolut or through the shop page of our website (transaction fee applies).

We apply the deposit against your final bill.
