My beautiful friend Zahra has been displaced from Gaza to Egypt for the past two years. Many of her family members have been martyred, and a few are still trapped in their home country.
Even outside Gaza, life is difficult for them.
They are currently struggling to keep a roof over their heads in Ciaro, and are now facing eviction if they cannot raise enough to pay their rent.
ALL PROCEEDS RAISED BY THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE SENT DIRECTLY TO ZAHRA BY WESTERN UNION TRANSFER TO PAY THEIR NEXT 6 MONTHS RENT OF €1200
In return for your donation I will run two sessions of an autumn wreath workshop in my studio on Sunday 12th October from 10am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
As our studio is small I have a maximum capacity of 4 places per session.
We will begin our day with a demonstration of making a beautiful, large, seasonal wreath, using all foraged and gathered materials. I will provide lovely hot tea and coffee to enjoy while you watch the demo.
You will then create your own wreath, and guidance will be provided should you need it.
We will use only Irish grown and foraged ingredients on a premade, biodegradable wreath base using uncoated binding wires. The whole wreath is biodegradable and eco-friendly.
The design is a gorgeous, seasonal, fresh wreath which can be displayed as a statement piece in your home.
