The Florist At Dunmore
Our floral collaboration with Dunmore House Hotel began in 2019 when Carol, the hotel’s owner, invited us to bring a few of our homegrown bunches to the hotel to fill the vases in the front lobby.
Almost every week since then, we have been filling the vases at the hotel. It is our Thursday ritual. We look forward to the beauty filled drive from our studio along the R600 coast road through Timoleague, and across the ancient ring fort studded landscape of Darrara, to picturesque Clonakilty (where we can often be found stopping for a quick coffee!) and out the Inchydoney coast road to our shining destination of Dunmore on the clifftop.

Many of you will have found us through a recommendation from the wonderful Dunmore team. We have now lost count on the number of beautiful weddings we have had the honour of flowering at this incredible venue, but, if you mention to me the couples name I will most likely be able to tell you still what flowers they had! Every wedding at Dunmore is unique and bespoke, and we relish in creating flowers that reflect each couple, and of course tie together the place, time of year and the overall style and colour palette of each occasion.

From the beautiful arrangements at Rathbarry Church to the stunning flowers at Dunmore House, every single detail was absolutely breathtaking. The flowers created such a magical atmosphere throughout the day and complemented both the church and the hotel perfectly. Every arrangement, bouquet and little detail was thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed. Flicky and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Some Frequently Asked Questions About Dunmore Wedding Flowers

Dunmore include a small, filled vase of fresh flowers on each of your guest tables as a part of your package, and we look after this order as a part of the hotel’s order with us each week. The order is for “a seasonal fill in a neutral/pastel colour palette that might co-ordinate with any wedding”, which means that depending on what flowers are growing in our gardens or available locally on any given week, could be a palette of pink and white spring tulips and hyacinths or a lemon and lilac combination of larkspur and sweetpea in the summer. You can see an example of the Dunmore centrepiece which is included in your package further down this page.

Yes, you can customize the flowers as a part of your own order with us. This means that if you have booked us to look after your wedding party, ceremony and hotel flowers you can place your own order for anything you desire. We can potentially restyle elements from your ceremony flowers to any area of The Ocean Suite, Ocean Club or Wave Canopy, turning aisle markers into custom centrepieces and transforming backdrop installations into photo booths. Everything is possible.

Most couples getting married on site at Dunmore would have a floral order list which would include their wedding party flowers (bouquets, bouttoneirre’s, corsages), ceremony florals (ceremony table arrangement being a starting point, most adding a backdrop installation piece such as a ground arch or plinth arrangements, welcome sign florals, and aisle markers), and possibly some extra’s for the reception (additional filled bud vases for the reception tables, bespoke centrepieces (such as elevated stand arrangements or custom arrangements in keeping with one’s own florals), candle holders and tall taper candles, gift bouquets for the speeches and cake flowers).
For couples getting married at one of the nearby churches we would usually provide similar to the above, adapting the ceremony florals to a church setting. Most of our church couples opt for our Ceremony Service or Full Service, to transfer and restyle their church florals to the hotel.

Yes, we have a vast inventory of beautiful accessories such as candle holders, vases, plinths and even textile items to elevate your wedding aesthetics and vibes to the next level.

Any flowers which you have ordered are yours to take away after the wedding day. Most couples will reuse some items where possible for a day 2 celebration, some gift items to friends and family, and some bring flowers to one of the local hospitals or homes for their residents to enjoy. We can, as a part of a Full Service wedding, return to the hotel a day or two after the main event to dismantle large arrangements to enable you to more easily take the flowers home.

Flowers In The Ocean Suite
You can simply choose to enjoy the floral centrepieces provided by the hotel for your day, or, you can commision your own arrangements and styling.
The Dunmore Centrepiece
Included in your Dunmore package is the larger vase seen here, centre. The silver candleholders and white dinner candles, as well as the glass T-Light votives are also included. You can choose to add further flowers and/or alternative candles, holders and bespoke centrepieces as a part of your own order with us. The additional filled bud vases as seen here were an additional order from this couple for their wedding decor.
