Irish Flowers With Protea From South Africa At Drishane House

One of our favourite weddings of 2025 was that of A & N, in St,Matthews Church, Baltimore & a beautiful Bohemia Canvas marquee at Drishane House.

We filled the church with an overgrown abundance of Irish foliage, snowberries and flowers.

We created an abundant meadowscape of Irish flowers with South African proteas (a nod to the groom’s family origins) in the large window on the stairwell of the church.

Looking down into the window from above.

The men’s buttonholes featured mini bridal blush protea with myrtle, ivy leaves and snowberries.

A’s bouquet was an assymetric, spilling design with many carefully chosen ingredients which had hidden meanings such as ivy for fidelity, myrtle for love in marriage and rosemary for remembrance.

We created an overflowing display at the main door of the church using large baskets filled with an abundance of Irish grown flowers and foliage, and South African protea’s.

We transfered the church florals back to Drishane House after the ceremony for restyling. The church door display was re-assembled at the entrance of the marquee.

The marquee interior featured bespoke floral chandeliers, and beautiful tablescapes with floral arrangements and taper candles in holders plus votives with T-Lights. One of the couples friends illustrated their table numbers, menus and table plan. The couple handwrote each guests placecards.

We also added flowers throughout Drishane House where the couple and their families were staying and where the drinks reception was held.
